Dubl-o-Soul

DUBL – O – SOUL brings a collective influence to the table that when combined forms the stock for an incredibly funky blend of American musical forms. Band leader, guitarist, and keyboardist Eric Barton brings a background firmly rooted in Blues, vintage r&b, and soul jazz. Drummer Al Agpoon (whose projects with Eric include the Sugardaddies, a funky Chicago style blues trio, and Groove Drop a highly successful Sacramento R&B cover band) provides the band with the simple but highly stylized influence of drummers such as James Brown’s Clyde Stubblefield, and the Meters Zigaboo Modeleste. On bass is San Francisco transplant Zach Sharpe. An accomplished Upright and electric bass player Zach counts Ben Harper, Dave Mathews band and Galactic as just a few of his musical influences. On vocals is Macbethgod. This talented local MC adds a modern and edgy influence to the band with his original hip hop compositions and smooth but stinging lyrical delivery. Rounding out the band on Turntables is Texas transplant, B Goins. B adds spice to the mix with his samples, superior scratching ability, and knack for pumping up the crowd! Our goal this year is to gain exposure and a solid fan base in both the Sacramento and Bay Area local music scenes by playing live shows. We sincerely hope you will help us accomplish this goal by booking our band to perform in your club.
