Smithfield
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Smithfield, Birmingham
Smithfield is a historically Black Birmingham neighborhood with deep roots in the city's civil rights history, and its 21 listed venues lean toward lounges and nightclubs - Club Flight and PlayHouse ll among them - alongside classic bars and sports bars. Empire Gentlemen's Club and Deuces Lounge & Event Center round out a later-night-leaning scene. It's a community-centered nightlife scene rather than a visitor destination.
