Alta Vista

Calistoga sits at the northern end of the Napa Valley, a spa and hot-springs town that's also one of California's most concentrated wine-tasting destinations, and Alta Vista's BarFinder numbers reflect that almost entirely - 141 venues, 128 of them wineries, including August Briggs Winery and Castello di Amorosa, the valley's elaborate castle-style winery. A handful of wine bars and a single brewery round out the mix. It's less a traditional bar neighborhood than one of Napa Valley's premier wine-tasting corridors, with names like Envy Wines and Realm North drawing visitors from well beyond Calistoga itself.
