Gilroy, California calls itself the "Garlic Capital of the World" and sits at the southern edge of Santa Clara Valley's wine country, and downtown's 52 BarFinder-listed venues reflect that - 28 wineries alone, more than every other category combined, led by Verde Vineyards and Tuscan House Vineyards. El Rio Nilo De Gilroy and Tempo Kitchen & Bar add some classic-bar and dining variety, but wine is clearly the throughline here.
