Saratoga is one of the Santa Clara Valley's most affluent small towns, tucked against the Santa Cruz Mountains and close to that range's own wine-growing region - its bar scene shows real wine credentials, with BarFinder counting 25 venues and wineries making up more than half. Big Basin Vineyards and Cooper-Garrod Vineyards at Garrod Farms anchor that side, while Relish Gastro Lounge offers a more conventional night out. A quiet, upscale downtown worth a visit for the wine as much as the bars.
