Savannah State University
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Savannah State University, Savannah
This stretch of Savannah sits around Savannah State University, Georgia's oldest public historically Black college, and its small bar scene reflects a campus-adjacent, college-town feel. BarFinder lists 10 venues here, split fairly evenly between classic bars and sports bars, with spots like Rack Em Up Sports Bar and Lounge and Overtime Sports Bar & Grill drawing a game-day crowd. It's a compact, neighborhood-scale scene rather than a big night-out destination - places like Long Branch Saloon and The Parlor serve the community around the university rather than visitors from elsewhere in Savannah.
