Ankeny

Ankeny, a fast-growing Des Moines suburb now among Iowa's five most populous cities, has built out a real bar scene alongside its population boom - BarFinder lists 36 venues here, led by sports bars with a growing handful of breweries and cocktail bars. Longtime uptown spots share the scene with newer arrivals like Uptown Garage Brewing, part of a local brewery cluster that's grown alongside the city itself.
