Dubuque

Dubuque, Iowa's oldest city, sits on the Mississippi River and carries a river-town character into its bar scene - BarFinder lists 86 venues here, led by classic bars and sports bars, with a solid handful of breweries, lounges, and pubs behind them. Local spots like Northside Bar and Fast Freddys Bar reflect an old-school neighborhood-tavern tradition, while newer arrivals like Lot One and Wicked Dame add some variety to the mix. It's a scene shaped as much by Dubuque's bluff-top, river-city setting as by its classic Midwestern tavern roots.
