Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Newport, Kentucky
Tonight in Newport: events & happy hours →Newport, directly across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, was infamous through the mid-20th century as a hub of illegal gambling and vice earning it the nickname 'Sin City' - a reputation long since replaced by the modern Newport on the Levee entertainment district along the riverfront. BarFinder lists 49 venues here, led by classic bars and sports bars, with a real cocktail bar and distillery presence including New Riff Distilling. Newport Ultra Lounge and Kon-Tiki on the Levee lean into the area's current nightlife draw, a long way from its rough-edged past.
