Union Square is one of Baltimore's historic rowhouse neighborhoods, built around a Victorian-era park, and its 28 listed bars lean toward classic neighborhood spots and lounges - Richie's Lounge and Starlite Lounge among them - with a handful of sports bars and a nightclub rounding things out. B & O Tavern nods to the area's railroad-era history. It's a quieter, more residential bar scene than downtown or the harbor neighborhoods. A good pick for an unpretentious night close to the park.
