Biddeford's old textile mills, which once employed as many as 12,000 workers, have been reborn as the center of the city's drinking scene - Banded Brewing, described as the city's first brewery, operates right out of the historic Pepperell Mill complex. BarFinder lists 22 venues here, led by breweries, bars, and pubs, including spots like Lucky Pigeon Brewing Co. and Docs Tavern alongside the mill-district breweries. The city's preservation-driven revival, recognized with a 2022 Great American Main Street Award, has made its old industrial buildings as much a part of a night out as the bars themselves.
