Biloxi
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Biloxi, Mississippi
Biloxi's nightlife has gambling in its bones - as far back as 1847 the city was drawing steamboat crowds from New Orleans for dancing and dice, and by the mid-20th century a strip of nightclubs along Highway 90 was simply known as "the Strip." BarFinder lists 71 venues here today, led by sports bars and classic bars with a solid run of lounges, pubs, and cocktail bars behind them. Hurricane Katrina wiped out virtually every casino on the coast in 2005, and the modern bar-and-casino scene - from the rebuilt Beau Rivage to Hard Rock Biloxi - is largely a post-storm reconstruction. Beyond the casino floors, local spots like Fillin' Station and Contact Lounge & Sports Bar keep a more neighborhood-bar character alive.
