Staten Island

Staten Island, the most suburban of New York City's five boroughs and reachable by the famous Staten Island Ferry, has a substantial bar scene of its own - BarFinder lists 104 venues, led by bars, sports bars, and pubs, with a real nightclub and brewery scene behind them. Local spots like Talk of the Town Tavern and Buddy's Wonder Bar keep a classic neighborhood-tavern feel, while CLUB Brazil and Bungalow 18 add some late-night variety. It's a scene with real range, distinct from Manhattan's but just as much a part of the city.
