North East

North East, Pennsylvania sits in the heart of the Lake Erie Wine Country AVA, and BarFinder's data makes that unmistakable: wineries account for 19 of the town's 25 venues, by far the largest category. Real local names like Arrowhead Wine Cellars, Penn Shore Winery and Vineyards, and Heritage Wine Cellars anchor a wine-trail scene built on the Lake Erie region's long history of Concord grape growing, with just a handful of traditional pubs and bars rounding out the options. It's a destination built almost entirely around wine tasting rather than a conventional bar night.
