Scranton
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Scranton, Pennsylvania
Scranton, a former coal-mining hub in Northeastern Pennsylvania perhaps best known nationally as the setting of the TV show The Office, has a classic bar scene to match its blue-collar roots - BarFinder lists 115 venues here, led by classic bars, sports bars, and pubs. Real local spots like Kildare's Irish Pub and Ale Mary's at the Bittenbender reflect a mix of old-school Irish pub tradition and newer craft additions. It's a straightforward, neighborhood-bar kind of city rather than a flashy nightlife destination.
