Marble City
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Marble City, Knoxville
Marble City takes its name from Knoxville's 19th-century marble quarrying industry, once significant enough that the city's pink-tinted "Tennessee marble" was used in buildings as far away as Washington, D.C. Today it's a mixed commercial strip on Knoxville's west side, and BarFinder lists 35 venues here, led heavily by sports bars - Bearden Brickyard and Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux among them - with a handful of wine bars and classic bars like Calhoun's and DRINK rounding things out. It's a practical, game-day-friendly scene more than a historic-themed one despite the name.
