Abilene
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Abilene, Texas
Downtown Abilene has been in the middle of a real revival, with old, worn-out buildings - including one from the 1920s now home to Cru Bar and Venue - turned into the bars and event spaces driving the city's nightlife today. BarFinder lists 67 venues here, split fairly evenly between classic bars and sports bars, plus a growing nightclub and craft-beer presence. That mix of historic-building bars and modern breweries like Primal Brewing Company and Sunnhaus Brewing Project gives Abilene's scene a split personality - part small-town sports bar, part reclaimed-building nightlife district.
