Belmont
Bars, breweries, and nightlife in Belmont, Charlottesville
Belmont is a historic, formerly working-class neighborhood just south of downtown Charlottesville, Virginia, that's become one of the city's more interesting food-and-drink pockets in recent decades. BarFinder lists 58 venues here, and unusually for a city neighborhood, wineries are the single largest category - a reflection of central Virginia's broader wine country - alongside a strong brewery and distillery showing from places like Spirit Lab Distilling and Draft Taproom. It's less a conventional bar strip than a genuine wine-and-spirits destination within walking distance of downtown.
