Richmond

Richmond, Virginia's capital, has built a real national reputation around its craft beer scene in recent years, and BarFinder's own numbers back that up: of 294 venues listed here, breweries are the third-largest category, behind only classic bars and sports bars, with a strong cocktail bar presence too. The Fan District and Carytown neighborhoods anchor much of that scene, home to real local spots like Strangeways Brewing, Metzger Bar and Butchery, and McCormack's Irish Pub. From riverside breweries to late-night cocktail dens, Richmond's bar scene has become one of its defining draws.
