Tacoma's Theatre District takes its name from the cluster of restored historic theaters downtown, and it's grown into one of the city's liveliest spots for a drink - BarFinder lists 66 venues here, the largest concentration in this batch of Tacoma neighborhoods, led by an especially strong brewery scene alongside classic bars and cocktail bars. Spots like Harmon Taproom and Dystopian State Brewing Co. & Event Venue sit a short walk from the old theater marquees, with sports bars and a couple of beer bars filling out the rest. It's become Tacoma's closest thing to a true downtown entertainment district - a good anchor point for a bigger night out.
