Lake Geneva

Lake Geneva, a longtime Chicago-area lake resort town that drew wealthy Gilded Age vacationers escaping the city, has a bar scene built around that resort-town tradition - BarFinder lists 40 venues here, led by sports bars and classic bars, with breweries, wine bars, and pubs rounding things out. Local spots like Geneva Tap House and Studio Winery reflect a modern craft-drinks side, while Fat Cats and The Thirsty Parrot keep a classic lake-town tavern feel alive. It's a scene shaped as much by weekend tourists as by year-round locals.
