Jennifer Johnson Cano, mezzo soprano

With "a voice of rare depth and charisma," Metropolitan Opera star Jennifer Johnson Cano returns to the Tucson Desert Song Festival with her husband and pianist Christopher Cano, a native of southern Arizona and Director of the Kennedy Center?s Cafritz Young Artist Program and American Opera Initiative. Their program includes works by Mozart, Grieg and Liszt, as well as a world premiere of a new song cycle by American composer Gregory Spears, commissioned by Tucson Desert Song Festival.
